Yes! We will except any incoming 9th-12th graders
Can seniors be on JV? and can Freshman be on Varsity?
Yes to both! We pick teams based on ability, not seniority! We do two game day teams as well as two competition teams, it is also possible for anyone to be on one game day team and then a different level competition team.
how many people make the team?
There is no set number! We will decide teams based on the obvious break in judging scores.

Just bring yourself! Further information on what to wear and what to bring will be provided at the pre-tryout meeting.
do i need basing or flying experience to make the team?
You do not! If you are trainable and hardworking with a positive attitude there could be a place for you on our team!
how do i practice and get better for tryouts?
We encourage any interested cheerleaders to attend open gyms or clinics around town! Unfortunately we are not holding any of our own clinics this year because of Covid protocols, however you can reach out to any of our current cheerleaders for help and go to open gyms with them!
If i cant come to tryouts can I still be on the team?
Contact Head Coaches Trista Phillips and Morgan Hansen at [email protected] to find out your options!
Can boys tryout?
Yes! We encourage all boys to tryout! We love having boys on our team and find that boys love being on our team as well. If you are on the fence about trying out, reach out to any of our current boys on the team to find out what they thought about being an RHS cheerleader!
